Slayers 2 Clan Tier List
Ranked on the post-balance-change version · Clans checked September 23, 2026. This ranking uses the latest publicly published post-patch clan rankings, compared across three independent outlets. Where they disagree, the majority placement is used and the disagreement is listed at the bottom of the page.
Consensus clan tiers
Ranking basis, stated plainly: combat value, passives, unique skills, survivability, progression benefits, and how well a clan fits a specific breathing style, Demon Art or weapon. Rarity is not a ranking factor — a 60% Common clan can beat a 0.1% Supreme clan for the right build.
Supreme 0.1% ×4 · Mythic 0.9% ×2
Mythic ×4 · Legendary ×3 · Rare ×2
Legendary ×1 · Rare ×3 · Uncommon ×5
Common ×17
Tier meanings
- S — strong on almost any build, or the best option in a niche that dominates a meta (e.g. a Burn or Poison setup).
- A — very good, but specialised: excellent when the rest of your build supports it, ordinary otherwise.
- B — situational or gimmicky. Worth keeping while you progress; there is usually a stronger option for the same role.
- C — starter and reroll clans. Simple stat bumps with no skills or passives of note.
Why each clan sits where it does
S tier
- Kamado (Supreme, 0.1%) — the most versatile pick. Strong damage, survivability, crowd control, sustain and Demon utility, with demon regeneration and sun immunity that save a gear slot for Demon players. All three sources place it in S.
- Rengoku (Supreme, 0.1%) — the damage ceiling. Highest damage factor with heavy Burn damage and burn-boosted M1s, a free combo extender, damage reflection in mode, and resistance to Fire plus immunity to the top-tier combo extender. Best-in-class for Flame builds and aggressive katana play.
- Uzui (Supreme, 0.1%) — offence plus Douma-grade defence: damage amplification, stamina utility, counters, auto-blocks and auto-dodges, and progression bonuses. Good for XP farming and against Poison builds.
- Soyama (Supreme, 0.1%) — counter and crowd-control pressure, a free counter skill, a big damage factor boost, a free combo extender stun, and damage boosts that scale as you lose HP. Punishing in PvP if you can time counters.
- Shinazugawa (Mythic, 0.9%) — the post-patch specialist. Post-balance Wind starters and combo routes finally let its Wind-focused damage, movement, stamina, regeneration and weapon bonuses land. Two of three sources put it in S; Destructoid has it A.
- Himejima (Mythic, 0.9%) — damage amplification plus a full defensive package: Block Points, regeneration and M1 pressure. Excellent for melee, PvP and bosses. Two of three sources put it in S; Destructoid has it A because its kit rewards taking hits.
A tier
- Agatsuma (Mythic, 0.9%) — a Thunder specialist with damage boosts, movement, cooldown reduction, stamina regen and low-HP bonuses. Destructoid rates it S, but *only when you run Thunder*; both other sources keep it in A for that reason.
- Kocho (Legendary, 4%) — the best Poison clan and the best Legendary overall, but only if you are on Insect Breathing. Destructoid puts it in S for that niche; Beebom and Pro Game Guides keep it in A after Insect lost i-frames and its strict-stun confirm.
- Douma (Mythic, 0.9%) — a defensive duelling clan: three auto-dodges per skill, a clone escape out of combos, damage-type resistance and a hefty damage factor buff. Lacks the raw offence of S tier.
- Iguro (Mythic, 0.9%) — Serpent and Poison synergy, mobility and percentage-health damage on the snake skill for bosses. Not the best Poison clan (that is Kocho) and its movement passive was reduced.
- Shabana (Legendary, 4%) — zone damage and party-wide buffs that make it the best coordinated group clan, with an S-tier ceiling in organised parties. Its solo value is much lower, which is why it sits in A.
- Tamayo (Mythic, 0.9%) — a support clan: healing, cooldown resets against bosses and debuffs. Strong in a party, weak solo, and it has no passives.
- Tomioka (Legendary, 4%) — excellent cooldown resets, but the rest of the kit leans on Water Breathing, which two sources still call the weakest Slayer style. Very good if Water gets buffed.
- Urokodaki (Rare, 12%) — a strong passive damage boost and a good in-mode boost for Water, plus extra defence in a mask. Same Water dependency as Tomioka, at a much easier rarity to roll.
- Sabito (Rare, 12%) — Water and katana movement, sword damage, mastery and party bonuses; a cheap, focused Water option. Destructoid puts it a tier lower; Beebom and Pro Game Guides both place it in A.
B tier
- Ubuyashiki (Legendary, 4%) — EXP, farming, drops and defensive resistances rather than damage. The block-ignore skill is genuinely good in PvP; the missing damage boosts hold it back.
- Makomo (Rare, 12%) — Water and katana bonuses plus Block Regen, Block Points and movement. Party-dependent and low on stats.
- Yahaba (Rare, 12%) — works with Arrow Evil Art and Demon party setups; disruption and stamina utility. The strongest of the C-tier-ranked Rare clans in Destructoid's list.
- Susumaru (Rare, 12%) — built around Tamari and Evil Art: extra stamina and damage on landed abilities. Too specialised to compete with general-purpose clans.
- Kaneki, Yamagiri, Kurotsume, Aoshima, Aori (all Uncommon, 23%) — the first genuinely usable tier while progressing. Health, movement, stamina or a small additional damage factor, with no skills. Fine early, outclassed later.
C tier
- The 17 Common clans (Yukimori, Kanzaki, Mori, Kurosaki, Hozumi, Aokawa, Saito, Tsukino, Ando, Suzuki, Kuroaki, Fujiwara, Sakurai, Hagiwara, Kazetani, Fukukoshi, Toka), all at a 60% roll chance. Each gives one flat bonus — a small damage factor, damage reduction, Block Regen, Block Points, max health, max stamina, health regen, stamina regen or movement speed — and nothing else. Use them while you level; reroll out of them when you have spins to spare.
What is worth rerolling for
- Best overall pick: Kamado. It is the one clan that is strong on nearly every build, and it stays good for both Slayers and Demons. Rengoku, Uzui, Soyama, Shinazugawa and Himejima complete the S tier and each wins in its own lane.
- Best value in the low rarities: Urokodaki and Sabito (both 12% Rare). Both give real damage and progression bonuses for Water builds at a fraction of the reroll cost of a Supreme.
- Do not reroll an A-tier clan just because it is not S. If its bonuses already support your breathing style or Demon Art, a reroll usually loses you value. Decide what you want from the replacement first — more control, a better style match, or party support.
- Reroll when: you are sitting on a C-tier Common, you have not committed to a breathing style yet, and you have spins in hand from the current codes.
- Rarity ≠ strength. Some Legendary and Rare clans beat Mythic clans for specific builds; some high-rarity clans are only good if their abilities match your setup.
Clan combinations that work
| If you run… | Pair it with… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Flame | Rengoku | Flame's improved counter and pressure plus Burn and top-tier offensive stats — the safest all-round Slayer build. |
| Wind | Shinazugawa | Faster Wind starters turn the clan's damage and stamina bonuses into real combos. |
| Thunder | Agatsuma | Still the best pursuit build, but mind Thunder's slower Z and perfect-blockable X. |
| Sound | Uzui | Uzui's stronger damage mark offsets Sound's reduced guard pressure. |
| Stone | Himejima | A bruiser setup despite the clan's nerfs. |
| Insect | Kocho | The Poison specialist; weaker than it was after Insect's changes. |
| Serpent | Iguro | Poison synergy and mobility, though its movement passive was cut. |
| Water | Tomioka or Urokodaki | Tomioka for cooldown-reset rotations, Urokodaki for passive damage and progression. |
| Group Demon play | Shabana | Zone and party passives with an S-tier ceiling when everyone is coordinated. |
Breathing styles and Blood Demon Arts are ranked in full in the tier list, and every breathing style's five abilities are listed there too.
All clans and spin odds
Slayers 2 has 41 clans across 6 rarities, from Common to Supreme. You roll a clan during character customisation; rerolling uses Clan Rerolls (called Spins), which come from codes and in-game rewards.

|---|---|---|
| Supreme | 0.1% | Kamado, Rengoku, Soyama, Uzui |
| Mythic | 0.9% | Agatsuma, Douma, Himejima, Iguro, Shinazugawa, Tamayo |

| Uncommon | 23% | Aori, Aoshima, Kaneki, Kurotsume, Yamagiri |
| Common | 60% | Ando, Aokawa, Fujiwara, Fukukoshi, Hagiwara, Hozumi, Kanzaki, Kazetani, Kuroaki, Kurosaki, Mori, Saito, Sakurai, Suzuki, Toka, Tsukino, Yukimori |
How to reroll for a clan
- Join the Ouw Productions group (some rewards require it) and grab any spins you can from working codes.
- Open the character customisation screen.
- Roll for a new clan; each roll consumes one spin.
- Stop when you land a clan that supports the breathing style or Demon Art you actually want to play.
Where the sources disagree
These clans were ranked differently by outlet. The tier above uses the majority placement; the disagreement is kept here so you can judge it yourself.
| Clan | Destructoid (Sep 18–19) | Beebom (Sep 21) | Pro Game Guides (Sep 21) | Used here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agatsuma | S — only with Thunder | A | A | A (majority; Thunder-only ceiling noted) |
| Kocho | S | A | A | A (majority; best Legendary for its niche noted) |
| Shinazugawa | A | S | S | S (majority) |
| Himejima | A | S | S | S (majority) |
| Sabito | C | A | A | A (majority) |
| Makomo | C | B | B | B (majority) |
| Yahaba | C | B | B | B (majority) |
| Susumaru | C | B | B | B (majority) |
Why a majority vote rather than one source: two of the three outlets (Beebom, Pro Game Guides) published their rankings on 2026-09-21, i.e. after the balance pass; Destructoid's was published 2026-09-18 and updated 2026-09-19. All three describe the same balance changes, but they weight them differently. None of the three is an official Ouw Productions ranking — these are editorial opinions, not developer-issued numbers, and neither this site nor the sources publish official clan stats.
