What Is Slayers 2?

Slayers 2 is a free open-world RPG on Roblox by developer Ouw Productions. Inspired by the Demon Slayer manga and anime, it drops you into a world where you spin for a clan, train a breathing style under a trainer, and then pick a side: hunt demons as a slayer, or pay the price and become one yourself.

This site is an independent, fan-made wiki for that game. We track the active codes page weekly, keep clan and breathing style tier lists stamped with the version they were ranked on, and write step-by-step guides for the questions players actually search — how to become a demon, where Muzan spawns, how to get Demon Horns and Beast Cores, and how to reset your points without wasting them.

One thing to be clear about: Slayers 2 is not an official Demon Slayer game, and it has no connection to Destiny 2, Dead Island 2 or other games with similar names. It is a standalone Roblox experience — formerly known as Project Slayers 2 during development — and the original Project Slayers is a separate, older game by the same developer.

Release date and current status

When did Slayers 2 come out? Slayers 2 launched on Roblox on February 2, 2024, and it is still being updated — the experience was last updated on September 23, 2026, the same day this page was checked.

Two things trip people up about the name:

  • Slayers 2 was known as Project Slayers 2 while it was in development. That is the same game, not a separate release.
  • The original Project Slayers is a different, older Roblox game by the same developer, Ouw Productions. It still exists, but most of its community has moved to Slayers 2.

Is Slayers 2 in early access? No. It is not an early-access or paid-preview product: the experience is free to play on Roblox, and the only thing you need is a Roblox account. It did run a closed beta phase before launch, which is where some older "early access" articles and wiki pages come from — those describe the pre-launch period, not the current state of the game.

Leveling route

How do you level up in Slayers 2? By following the map's level bands and spamming the right quest giver in each one. Community walkthroughs describe this route:

Level bandWhereWhat to do
1–10Starter town (Windy Peak)Main quest giver's two quests — fight five bandits, then the boss, which also drops a stronger sword than the starter one.
10–26Bear site / bamboo area, past the caveRepeat the NPC's kill quests and the mother bear until you hit 26.
26–40Up the slope from the bear siteSpam the NPC's subordinate-kill quest; a boss quest is available here too.
40–62Demon cave behind the waterfallAlternate the demon-kill quest with the demon boss in the cave; the boss drops items worth keeping.
62+Final Selection (butterfly mansion area)Progress through Final Selection. Community guides report it runs on a ~2-hour cycle, so failing means waiting for the next window.

Two things worth knowing before you grind:

  • Unlock double jump and wall climb in your skill tree early. Several trainer routes and quest areas are unreachable without them.
  • There is no separate "breathing training" bar. Once you learn a breathing style its moves are available to you — there is no breathing meter to fill (see the breathing style list).
Unconfirmed: the level bands and the roughly 2-hour Final Selection cycle come from player-made walkthroughs, not an official progression chart. Treat them as a route sketch, not exact values.

How to become a Demon

How do you become a Demon in Slayers 2? By pushing your reputation down to -40 and then finding Muzan. Community walkthroughs describe the chain like this:

  1. Reach at least level 4. You need skill points for the double jump and wall climb unlocks, which the later steps require.
  2. Drop to -40 reputation. Kill civilians in the starter village. Make sure they are the ones labelled "civilian" with no stars next to their name — figures with stars are quest NPCs/imposters and do not count.
  3. Wait for Muzan's prompt. Every 10 negative reputation, Muzan interacts with you. At -40 his dialogue changes to "Come seek me" — that is the signal you are ready.
  4. Find Muzan and complete the trial. He only appears at night; see §3.5 below for where to look.
  5. Accept the trade-off. Becoming a Demon is a one-way choice for the run: you keep progressing, but you are on the Demon side of the game's systems — Demon Arts instead of breathing styles, and daytime sun exposure becomes a problem you have to manage (community guides recommend a sun hat or shade until nightfall).

Demon or Hybrid? The Fandom wiki lists Hybrid as a separate race alongside Human, Slayer and Demon. Community guides describe the Demon route above; the Hybrid route's requirements were not documented in the sources read for this batch, so this page does not describe it.

Muzan spawn locations

Where does Muzan spawn in Slayers 2? He is a night-only spawn and appears in more than one place, so the practical answer is to check at night and server-hop if he is not where you are.

Reported spawn pointSource
Hidden Mist VillageCommunity walkthrough (2026-09-23)
Mist Fall HarborCommunity walkthrough — "he can be anywhere at Harbor"
Ice Veil ValleyCommunity walkthrough
The sources disagree on how many points there are. One walkthrough says three locations (the table above); another says Muzan can spawn in four places and focuses on the Snow Village and Mist Village/Harbor as the two worth checking. Both agree on two things: he only spawns at night, and he walks back and forth through the area rather than standing still. If you cannot find him, server-hop and check the harbour before giving up.

How is this different from the original Project Slayers? Community content for the two games overlaps heavily, and boss names like Muzan exist in both. Muzan's spawn points in Slayers 2 are separate from the prequel's maps — do not follow a Project Slayers map guide and expect it to work here.

Beast Cores

How do you get Beast Cores in Slayers 2? They drop from specific demons.

  1. Head out from the starting town, drop down past the bridge that sits by the lake and its waterfall, and follow the route into the area where the Beast Core demons are.
  2. Kill the demons there — they are the Beastborn demons, and there are several spread around the area, including a lower level below the first group.
  3. Repeat until you have the Beast Cores you need.
Unconfirmed: a community walkthrough puts the drop rate at roughly 1 in 3, and one video demonstrates a first-kill drop. Both are player observations, not an official drop table. One walkthrough we read also labels the game simply "Project Slayers"; the dedicated Beast Core video for Slayers 2 confirms the same mechanic, so the route is used here with the drop rate flagged as unconfirmed.
